The European College of Financial Investigation and Criminal Financial Analysis (CEIFAC) is organising a colloquium in STRASBOURG on Thursday 24 October 2019, from 14.00 to 17.00, in the auditorium of the Bibliothèque Nationale et Universitaire (BNU) 6 place de la République in Strasbourg, on the theme: Cryptomonnaie et Blockchain quelles perspectives?

The fight against organised crime within the European Union is a democratic imperative. The financial aspect of this fight is necessary for reasons of efficiency. CEIFAC is the only training and research organisation that approaches the issue from this angle within the framework of an action-research programme co-financed in particular by the European Union and the three-year contract, "Strasbourg, European Capital".

Training

CEIFAC trains members of the prosecution and judicial authorities of the European Union in financial investigations and criminal financial analysis in support of such investigations.

Report to

By the end of 2018, CEIFAC will have trained nearly 300 European practitioners in 6 years, thus contributing to building the "strike force" within the Member States in the service of the future European Public Prosecutor's Office.

Research

An action-research centre at the service of the future European Public Prosecutor's Office to conduct a phenomenological analysis at the service of European criminal policies.

The European College of Financial Investigation and Criminal Financial Analysis was born out of the conviction shared by its founders of the need to create an unprecedented training and research programme, the result of the shared experience of academics and specialists from the prosecuting and judicial authorities, with the aim of better combating organised crime in Europe by developing financial investigations and criminal financial analysis.
